We knew details of the Samsung Indulge — aka Samsung Forte in the past — including pricing since the end of January and today, MetroPCS together with Samsung have launched the device which will be available online and in stores later this week with a suggested retail price of $399 plus tax.
The device will be “the world’s first commercially available 4G LTE enabled Android smartphone” and its full name is Samsung Galaxy Indulge, a new member of the Galaxy series. The Indulge sports the same 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor to be found on other Galaxy family members but it comes with a 3-megapixel camera and a smaller, 3.5-inch HVGA (480 x 320) resolution display. Of course, there’s the 4-row slide-out QWERTY and Android 2.2 Froyo on board — and Samsung’s own TouchWiz 3.0 — all powered by a 1500mAh battery.
There will also be two plans offered for the smartphone: $50 for 1GB of data and $60 for unlimited data, both with unlimited voice and text. Suggested retail price for the handset will be $399 plus tax
