If you have a Dell Streak you probably already know they come in two flavors: locked, and unlocked. If you’ve got an unlocked version (one that did not ship with an AT&T SIM), and want to get your Froyo update now, go to Settings, About device, System updates.

If you’ve got a locked version of the Streak, you’re not so lucky. If the “internal memo” that Streak Smart got their hands on is accurate, you won’t be seeing your update to Froyo until the week of January 12th, 2011.
