In a world where Ice Cream Sandwich dominates the news, the LG Thrill 4G, AT&T’s version of the manufacturer’s first 3D-smartphone, is getting its Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. You now have every right to say a big “meh”.
The international version, the Optimus 3D, got Android 2.3 at the end of last year, which was still late if you ask some. Regardless, if you have a Thrill 4G, your version should bump to 20P with the addition of the video editor that handles both 2D and 3D, a faster gallery and improved video quality. You’ll have to use LG’s PC software in order to apply the update so make sure you have that installed.
