AT&T announced way back in March that it would bringing the Optimus 3D stateside as the LG Thrill 4G, and now the first commercial for this dual-core handset has appeared. Still no mention of a release date here, though — Android Central suggested that it will arrive before the end of the month, which sounds about right.
One of only two handsets on the market (outside of Japan, anyway) to record and play back 3D content — along with the HTC EVO 3D — the Optimus 3D/Thrill 4G offers up a WVGA display, five-megapixel stereoscopic image capture, and front-facing webcam. We recently saw a variant of the Optimus 3D pass through the FCC going by model number P929, a strong indication that this device will also end up in T-Mobile’s lineup.
