Back in December, we heard about a new entry in LG’s Rumor family of handsets that looked like it would be hitting Boost Mobile this month. At the time we only knew the handset as the Rumor 4, but now that there’s finally an official announcement of its arrival, we learn that the phone will be coming to not just Boost, but also Sprint, as the LG Rumor Reflex.
The specs that have been released for the Rumor Reflex differ from those attached to the Rumor 4 late last year. For instance, the QWERTY slider will have a smaller 3-inch WQVGA display than the 4.3-incher we were expecting. We haven’t been able to confirm if the 3GB of storage mentioned earlier is accurate, but it sounds likely there might be 1GB on-board with microSD expansion.
We still don’t know about processor choice, but 800MHz-1GHz single-core sounds about right. Though the hardware itself may be a little dated, at least the Rumor Reflex will be quite affordable, at $30 with contract on Sprint, or just $80 off-contract at Boost.
Sprint gets the Reflex this weekend, on March 11, while Boost users will have to wait until March 29 to pick up this Android messaging phone.
