The LG Optimus 3D — the world’s first 3D smartphone with the ability to capture it’s own 3D content with the aid of the stereoscopic camera at the back — is available on pre-order in the UK.
Launched mid-February, we’ve had our hands-on with the smartphone at this year’s Mobile World Congress. The device is on pre-order over at Clove and goes for £492.00 (approximately $795) unlocked but once a carrier picks it up the price will surely be lower. First stock is expected June 1st.
The LG Optimus 3D features a glasses-free 3D WVGA 4.3-inch display, dual core TI OMAP 4 CPU with PowerVR SGX540 graphics, plus HDMI and DLNA connectivity.
On a side note, the LG Optimus 2X launched back in December is also on pre-order for £444 (approximately $717) unlocked, with first stock expected late March.
With only £48 (approximately $78) between the two, would you rather go for the glasses-free display and the stereoscopic camera on the LG Optimus 3D?
