The LG Optimus 2X — the world’s first dual-core smartphone — was launched back in December and, according to the specs, we knew that its eight-megapixel rear camera is capable of recording 1080p FullHD videos.
Thanks to the Greek website Techblog, we can now enjoy a short video recording sample shot with the Optimus 2X in 1080p. We got to say we’re quite impressed by the recording quality — aside from the digital zoom which pretty much behaves the same on all devices, camcorders, cameras or phones — especially if we compare it to other smartphones, like for instance the fresh Nexus S, and not with dedicated camcorder footage. Check out the video below (remember to toggle HD on) and let us know of your thoughts:
Edit: In case you want to check out the original raw file from the device, without YouTube’s thing, you can download it from one of these locations: 1, 2, 3, 4. Size is 195MB.
