It looks like everyone wants its own cloud. After Microsoft, Apple, Google, and the others, LG has flipped the switch on the Beta of its LG Cloud, a service offering which will play nicely with your PC, mobile device, smart TV and the web.
Music, photos, and videos can be shared among the devices in the account — and the addition of smart TVs allows easy sharing for playback of 3D content captured by LG’s Optimus 3D or 3D Max. Signing up will grant you 2GB of free storage space but if you buy an LG device you’ll get 5GB (and even 50GB in the first six months). According to reports there will also be a paid offering but details are not yet known.
Head over to the source link to find out more. The service will start on May 1 for South Korea and the United States with more regions to follow.
Samsung is also rumored to start its own cloud soon (probably as soon as May 3, with the occasion of its Unpacked event).
