This is supposedly the LG Flip II for T-Mobile — the same handset tipped by This is my next back in May and then captured in the flesh by Pocket-lint in mid-June, albeit in the UK. Well now we have solid evidence that the innovative dual-screened device is indeed coming to T-Mobile US, though its retail branding remains a mystery (as do the majority of its specs).
According to This is my next, we’ll be seeing the Flip II — which seems to be a sequel to nothing, although there’s likely a current-gen phone codenamed simply Flip — on precisely September 14th. We’re not sure what to expect from the secondary display dividing the keyboard — we suspect it’ll perform a variety of functions ranging from simple info-bearing widgets to application-speicific controls.
