Sporting a differently-colored keyboard than last time we saw it in the wild — as well as a branded nameplate on the back — the LG Doubleplay seems poised for a T-Mobile release, nearly four months after it accidently debuted at an industry event in London. Codenamed Flip II and going by the model number C729, Doubleplay offers a unique secondary display to supplement the main 320×480 HVGA screen, splitting the keyboard a la the legacy Nokia E70 Symbian handset. A quick search on Picasa reveals a few sample shots from the Gingerbread-powered phone’s five-megapixel camera.
Thanks to a leaked document published by TmoNews, we can be fairly certain that Doubleplay will launch on November 2nd, alongside a reported four additional handsets, for $150 on contract.
