A new LG smartphone just saw its FCC paperwork published, letting us know about the existence of this Android handset outfitted with a radio for T-Mobile’s 1700MHz 3G band.
The LG C729 doesn’t let any details slip in its FCC documents, short of the AWS WCDMA and the smartphone’s model number itself. To get a little more insight into what LG may have in store for us, we turn to the phone’s User Agent Profile. There we can see that the C729 will have a relatively-low-res 320 x 480 HVGA display, but also that the phone is definitely an Android.
So, what is the LG C729? The model number hasn’t popped up on any of the leaked roadmaps we’ve seen for the carrier. There are a few LG models that we expect to come to T-Mobile that haven’t been identified yet, including the LG Maxx. Fingering it as one specific model, without more to go on, would just be speculation at this point. Any guesses?
