Remember the “world’s first” dual-core smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X, introduced at the 2011 MWC in Barcelona? Well, it looks like LG has been misleading its customers with regards to the flash used on the device.

According to reports, after acknowledging that the LG Optimus 2X does indeed sport a simple LED flash opposed to the Xenon flash advertised in its home country, LG apologized and promised such thing will not happen again. The phone sold in over 400,000 units on the market (through SK Telecom and not only) and some of the owners are now asking for refunds or compensations of some sort because of their purchase based on the manufacturer’s false advertisement.
