LG has recently announced the LG Optimus Q2, as part of its second wave of high-end messaging phones. It is expected to launch next week in South Korea but there are also rumors of a possible European announcement the next weekend.
The Optimus Q2 sports a 1.2GHz Tegra2 processor, four-inch IPS display with WVGA resolution, five-megapixel camera, VGA webcam and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with added capabilities like WiFi Direct, allowing the phone to communicate with other devices that support the technology. LG is marketing the phone as being both thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the LG Optimus Q.
