LG and Prada announced last month that they intended to continue their partnership with the launch of a third Prada-branded LG device. We’ve had our eyes on what is likely to be the Android that ends up taking this positing, the LG Prada K2. While the phone isn’t due to arrive until next year, it may get to see the light of day while 2012 is still around, if the invitations going out to a London event the two companies are holding is any indication.
Prada and LG are throwing their shindig on Wednesday, December 14. Unless they’ve been working on some other secret project we’ve never heard about, chances are we’ll get to see the new Prada phone and confirm it as the K2. We’re not entirely sure just what it will look like, having gone through some design changes, but rumors suggest it will feature a super-bright 4.3-inch WVGA NOVA display, an eight-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facer, and 16GB of flash. If everything goes well, we might be able to complete that spec list after the event, including identifying the processor, which may just be a 1GHz TI component.
