Last September PayPal brought image-based check depositing to their iPhone app. It’s been a long wait, but one that should be over later today.

“Mobile Check Capture” lets a user snap a picture of a check using the phone on their smartphone, the routing number, check number, and amount are all recognized, the check is processed, and the funds are deposited into your PayPal account.

Since rolling it out on iPhone PayPal has reportedly been processing around a million dollars every month!

The new version should be released later today.
