The push-to-talk capable ruggedized Android Motorola i1 smartphone is now available at pre-paid Boost Mobile retail channels and will be headed over to Sprint for a post-paid plan on July 25th. On pre-paid through Boost Mobile, a Sprint-owned brand, you can get the Motorola i1 for $299 sans any contract and go month-to-month. For those who would rather stick to a traditional contract offering, Sprint is saying that the Motorola i1 can be had for $149.99 on a two-year agreement after $50 rebates: “Sprint will offer Motorola i1 for $149.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade, two-year service agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate through its Business Sales Team, Telesales and Web sales beginning Sunday, July 25, and in all remaining sales channels on Sunday, Aug. 8.”
The Motorola i1 was unveiled at CTIA earlier this year and features a rugged design that is dust-proof, water resistant, and weather-proof. The phone can absorb shock and sustain some drops.
