Acer Australia and New Zealand brought the news last week that an official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Iconia Tab A500 will be on its way in April. It’s a great mix of good and bad news knowing that the refresh is on its way but a couple of months out.

XDA Developers come to the rescue, as in most cases; the community managed to get its hands-on an ICS ROM and they did what they had to do: leak it. Those of you who have an Iconia Tab A500 and no longer wish to wait for the official roll-out can head over to the source link to find download links, instructions as well as feedback. Just make sure you understand the risks, as usual, when tinkering with your device!
