Back in January, we told you that Hulu, the popular video-on-demand streaming service, is going to make its way to Google’s Android powered smartphones and it looks like we’re getting closer to that point.
According to Hulu’s own webpage, Hulu Plus is coming soon for “select” smartphones running Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo version. Interestingly, just below the text there’s a picture of the Samsung Nexus S, which last time we checked was an Android 2.3 Gingerbread device. Maybe the text should be interpreted as Froyo being the minimum system requirement to run the upcoming Hulu app. Regardless of this, Netflix was rumored to be available for select Android smartphones early 2011 — and we even saw it installed on an LG Revolution — so be prepared to welcome Hulu anytime soon! We’ll be back with more info as soon as we get it!
