We got out first glimpse at the Huawei Vision back in May (not to be confused with the HTC Vision), the company’s forthcoming upper-tier Android smartphone. Then, just last week, the company officially unveiled the Vision and its 3D user interface. The handset should be making its first retail appearance in some markets next month; in advance of that, the Vision is seeing its FCC documentation published, and Huawei has released a promotional video showing off some of the phone’s features.

The Vision showed up at the FCC as Huawei model 007HW. Wherever this version of the smartphone is destined to end up (it’s expected in Europe), it sure doesn’t look like it will be in the US, since the FCC shows that, in addition to evaluating WiFi and Bluetooth emissions, the only cellular range the Vision was evaluated on was the GSM 1900 band. We very well could see it return to the agency with a more compatible radio sometime in the future.

Huawei’s Vision promotional video is largely focused on the phone’s 3D interface, which you might recognize as SPB Shell 3D. If you’re not familiar with it, Huawei shows some of the customization options available for setting up how you populate its panels. Underneath Shell 3D, the Vision runs Gingerbread on its single-core 1GHz processor.
