If you’ve ever seen a commercial for the HTC Thunderbolt, you might recall seeing what appeared to be a native video chat application. Well, that was actually a new version for Skype that supports video chat for Android which has yet to be released. It wasn’t released when the Thunderbolt hit store shelves, but a pre-release version of the software has been leaked, and in this video, we go hands-on with it to give you a sense for how the quality looks.
Over 4G, video and audio quality was fantastic, and as good as you’d expect over WiFi. Over 3G, video was choppy and the audio wouldn’t be steady. The software doesn’t seem to work on any device except the Thunderbolt, so keep that in mind. You can download the software from the Via link below.
