HTC has teamed up with Dropbox, according to reports, in order to offer its smartphone users 5GB of online storage. Only users of the latest Android phones will be able to benefit the additional 3GB HTC drops in (aside from the Dropbox offer of 2GB).
The deal is set to expand to all phones that are running HTC Sense 3.5 on top of Android, for a total of 5GB online storage. This way, HTC is offering its Android users some more online storage for media and documents (the same way Apple does with iCloud and Microsoft with SkyDrive). As phones running older versions of HTC Sense, like 3.0, there is no information yet coming out from the Taiwanese company, but fingers crossed.
