The HTC Status, AT&T’s variant of the HTC ChaCha, was officially launched at the end of last month as the carrier’s “Facebook phone”. Then we’ve got some information about pricing and availability and we even met the Status in person.
As promised, the HTC Status is now available from AT&T and at a great price! You can grab the phone for $49.99 on a two-year contract but if you don’t want to sign a commitment with the carrier you can purchase it for $399.99. As the ChaCha, the Status sports an 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM and ROM, 2.6-inch HVGA screen and an excellent QWERTY keyboard in addition to Gingerbread, a great Facebook integration and excellent Sense experience.
