The HTC Runnymede will launch as the HTC Sensation XL, according to a reliable source, and not the HTC Bass, as previously rumored. It will allegedly come in two Beats Audio-themed bundles: one with iBeats earbuds and another, special, edition containing over-the-ear Beats Solo headphones.
The supposed branding here is somewhat interesting because, unlike the Sensation XE, Runnymede’s specs differ significantly from the original Sensation’s: its rumored single-core, 1.5GHz processor and 4.7-inch screen make it sound more akin to the HTC Titan Windows Phone than the dual-core, 4.3-inch Sensation and Sensation XE.
We’d expect Sensation XL/Runnymede to launch at HTC’s October 7th event, alongside Explorer/Pico and perhaps even Vigor and Ruby.
