Yesterday’s news about HTC changing its mind about the HTC Desire Gingerbread made some customers really unhappy with the Taiwanese manufacturer that promised the latest Google version — and even had a Gingerbread test ROM out for the smartphone.
Here’s an interesting bit from HTC Romania: both tweets can translate into the same original idea that contrary to yesterday’s announcements, the HTC Desire will indeed receive its Gingerbread update. The reasons behind yesterday’s announcement were poor and related to the Desire’s low hardware internals — while the Wildfire S can run Gingerbread and HTC Sense with no problems at all. We hope HTC is doing the right thing and get Gingerbread out fast to one of the most successful Android smartphones in its 2010 line-up.
