Apparently the handset pictured above goes by the codename HTC Lead, but that’s all we really know about it at this point. Our first thought was that the screen looks pretty big (compared to the size of the button icons, at least), although that could just be attributed to its aspect ratio. Also of note is that this model currently lacks any branding whatsoever and, most curiously, uses HTC’s older-style button icons (“menu” written out instead of represented with three stacked lines). The earpiece is definitely not in line with any of today’s offerings from the company, either, further shrouding this device in mystery.
Is this a phone that got killed before ever seeing the light of day? An overseas model destined for just one specific market? Your guess is as good as ours, so we’d certainly like to hear your theories on this one.
