After unboxing HTC’s latest Android smartphone, it’s time to take a look at the hardware of the Incredible S in more depth. In terms of specs, it’s running with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz CPU with 768MB of RAM and 1.1GB of ROM (plus 8GB of storage included with the microSD card). It has the bands to work on T-Mobile, and so far we’ve been clocking some pretty healthy data speeds (more on this in the next video). On the back there is an 8MP camera with a 1.3MP camera up front.
In terms of hardware fit and finish, we weren’t terribly impressed with the Incredible S’s offering. The design features no interesting aesthetic elements, except for the buttonless panel. Speaking of the buttons, while the button rotation is a neat party trick, we found each button to be unevenly lit.
The most compelling part of the Incredible S might be its screen: the 4″ Super LCD panel provides rich color, great contrast, and excellent outdoor screen visibility.
Coming up soon we’ll dive into the software of the Incredible S!
