Last week, we made the connections between the HTC Kingdom variants arriving on a few US-based CDMA carriers, learning that the smartphone would be coming to US Cellular as the HTC Hero S. We’ve had a render of the Kingdom (as the EVO Design 4G) with Sprint badging to give us a feel for the handset, but now we get our first chance to check out the Hero S as it will land on US Cellular.
We’ve already seen pictures of the Motorola Electrify (AKA the Photon) for the carrier, and now the Hero S joins it. Though the link between the Hero S, the ED4G, and the Acquire clearly made it out to be an HTC Kingdom, this should help serve as confirmation that the Hero S will be finding its home on US Cellular.
The Hero S will bring a decently-powered Android to US Cellular, sporting a single-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon, a four-inch qHD display, and a five-megapixel camera (with VGA front-facer). We’re still waiting on official confirmation and some hint of when the Hero S will be available for sale, but it’s looking likely that the phone will come to US Cellular within the next couple months.
