There’s really not much mystery left to the HTC EVO Design 4G, as we’ve seen it rendered as the Kingdom, pictured for US Cellular as the Hero S, and completely spec’ed out thanks to a leaked ROM. Really, the only missing pieces to the puzzle are a price and release date, and with press shots now beginning to appear, we can’t imagine than an official Sprint launch is too far away.
According to the build.prop file in that ROM, Design is a Gingerbread 2.3.3-powered handset running a 1.2GHz single-core chip and 768MB of RAM underneath a four-inch qHD display. While the front webcam has a 1.3-megapixel sensor, the main shooter is supposedly just five megapixels, with 720p video capture. Now since these specs are over four months old, it’s completely possible that changes have been made in the interim — it would not be the first time HTC has altered a configuration before release.
