More and more information is seeing the light of day after the upcoming HTC Endeavor ROM was leaked this weekend. We’ve seen pictures of how HTC Sense 4.0 and its themes will look and now there’s more information hinting towards something called “HTC Speak”.
Yes, the ROM references “HTC Speak” but the information stops here. We could speculate on whether it could be HTC’s own personal assistant (a la Siri on the iPhone 4S) or just a new way to have voice input on the device. Additionally, there seems to be some sort of video editing solution inside the ROM; Ice Cream Sandwich has video editing capabilities but it looks like HTC might take it one step further.
Last, but not least, there’s the usual animation that teaches new users to remove the battery and insert the SIM card. When the animation is stopped to reveal the back of the phone, we are surprised to be greeted not by the rather smooth backplate of the Edge/Endeavor but more like something we’ve recently seen: the squared back part of the Droid Incredible 4G recently pictured. It could be a mistake (meaning a different animation included with a non-final ROM) or that the Endeavor will come to Verizon as the Incredible 4G. We’ll keep you posted!
