This Memorial Day, those of us in the US will be getting together with friends and family, readying ourselves for the start of summer, and breaking out the barbecue grill. According to a new rumor, Verizon will be coming back to work after the holiday to finalize its arrangements for the launch of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, now supposed to make its retail debut on Thursday, May 31.
Recently, it had been seeming like the phone might arrive in early May, instead. A couple separate rumors looked to a release in that timeframe, with one attempting to narrow things down specifically to May 10. That news came from a source of Phone Dog’s, which now returns with a new date for the handset, postponed until the end of the month.
There’s no explanation available for why Verizon might be delaying things (assuming those early May rumors were even accurate to begin with). With the phone already appearing briefly on the carrier’s Droid Does site, it had seemed like things were nearly ready to go for the Android, but we just might end up with a slightly longer wait on our hands.
