The Desire Z is a fantastic Android 2.2 phone from HTC that has a great pop-out keyboard, plus HTC’s latest Sense interface for Android. If you’re on T-Mobile, you can get the G2. If you’re in Europe, you can get the Desire Z. Here’s a little secret: AT&T users can get a Desire Z that supports the proper bands to do 3G! In reality, it’s actually the Bell Cananda version, but it truly works on AT&T’s 3G network, utilizing the 850 and 1900 MHz UMTS bands (we’ve been clocking about 2mbps down and 1.6mbps up over HSDPA). The device, like the G2, has the one-of-a-kind “pop out” hinge which exposes a comfortable keyboard. If you want a Desire Z of your own, you can grab one for about $600 unlocked over at Negri Electronics. More soon!
