Just a couple of days ago we heard from HTC and they were telling the world that the HTC Desire Z is getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread soon, by the end of June. According to recent reports, phone owners have already received an update notification.

HTC Desire Z owners in Germany reportedly got a notification of the update to Android 2.3.3 being ready for their phones. HTC Germany, in official wording, reportedly confirmed: “… Today we can officially confirm – yes”! Do you have a Desire Z and received an update notification yet? Might help to go into Settings, About Phone and manually check for updates or do the good old *#*#CHECKIN#*#* trick in your dialer.
