In this video I’ll show you what comes in the box, and give you a quick tour or the device itself. We’ll cover first-boot and software in an upcoming video.
Inside the box is what you’d expect: some manuals, a wall-wart for USB-power (sporting European prongs), a stereo headset, a USB cable, and the phone itself.
The smartphone feels very substantial in-hand, though it’s not heavy and is quite compact. In addition to a beautifully curved back and “chin” the Desire S features a “negative bevel” on the front which enables you to have a very secure grip on the phone.
The buttons are minimal: a power button on the top, volume rocker on the left, and four capacitive buttons on the bottom. Absent are the camera button and scroll pad/ball; honestly, I don’t miss them and I think the device is better off without them.
We’ll be sharing more about this sweet cell phone with you very shortly. In the meantime, I’d like to throw another thank you to Negri Electronics for letting us share their phone with you!
