The European version of the HTC Desire Android smartphone has just received an over-the-air update from HTC that will boost the version number to 2.29.405.5. It is good to see that HTC is commited to properly supporting popular devices out there.
Our Desire automatically notified us of an existing which is rather small, approximately 4MB in size but if you device didn’t do so, it would most probably help to dial *#*#CHECKIN#*#* in the dialer which should notify the servers of your existence.
The update is a minor one, changing only the trailing number from 2.29.405.2 to 2.29.405.5 and is said to fix some bugs but no official changelog has been published. We didn’t observe anything out of the ordinary and the update process went flawlessly. Did you spot any changes?
