HTC is doing a great job in updating older smartphones to the latest version of Google Android and we’ve heard that the HTC Desire will get its Gingerbread treat this spring, along with the Desire Z — as the Desire HD and Incredible S already got it.
So from our favorite leaksters comes the apparently official HTC Desire (aka Bravo) Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM. It is WWE (Worldwide English) but for the Asian regions; that shouldn’t worry you as HTC, as other OEMs, usually roll several regions out in a relatively short time frame. Besides getting excited for the upcoming ROM update you should also be happy the ROM is out so that someone could dismantle it, extract the goodies and maybe bake some custom cookies.
