Major mobile retailer Expansys has posted a product page for the so-called HTC Desire HD2, referring to it as “Pyramid” in the part number. As we heard last week, Pyramid is supposedly a flagship Android device running a dual-core 1.2-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon and featuring a 4.3-inch qHD (540 x 960) display with 16:9 aspect ratio, along with HSPA+ capabilities. At the time, a May T-Mobile launch was rumored.
This new information lines up nicely with previous reports, as well as with some recent boasting that HTC has been doing. Presumably we’re now to expect the Desire 2 (Saga), Desire HD2 (Pyramid), and Wildfire 2/S from the company at Mobile World Congress, along with a tablet named either Flyer or Scribe, and possibly the Incredible HD/2 (Vivo). After seeing this tease from Expansys, however, we imagine that all eyes will be on whatever HTC’s putting up against the Atrix, Infuse, and Optimus trio of 2X, Black, and 3D.
