The HTC ChaCha is a so-called “Facebook phone” because of its dedicated “F-button” which allows you to quickly post an update on Facebook or change your status, a reason for which the upcoming AT&T version of the phone will be called the HTC Status.
After the unboxing and hardware tour we are taking a look at the software on the HTC ChaCha. The Taiwanese manufacturer did a great job in optimizing the Sense experience, tweaking the UI to perfectly fit the permanent landscape screen with an HVGA resolution on the smartphone. We take a look at the Facebook integration, the “F-button” as well as widgets and apps pre-installed on the phone. We like what we see and Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running without any problems on the 800MHz processor inside the ChaCha.
