Sprint has announced the HTC EVO 3D, the glasses-free 3D follow-up to the popular Sprint EVO 4G, and we had some great hands-on time with the device at CTIA.

HTC has started airing the EVO 3D feature ad emphasizing on its 3D capabilities. The whole promo is based on the tri-dimensional erience, both in terms of 3D movies as well as its own 3D recorded content. The smartphone, just like the LG Optimus 3D — aka AT&T Thrill 4G — is capable of 3D recording with the aid of its stereoscopic camera at the back and the glasses-free 3D display allows for seamless 3D playback.
