Google’s “These Go To Eleven” event is just a couple of hours away, and they’ll be kind enough to stream it live for us again. I guess the biggest question here is, what do they mean by “These Go To Eleven”? The words don’t make any sense, so the floor is wide open for lots of speculation once you see a T-Mobile logo around. Our main predictions are:
1. Google Music with a Twist: Currently Google’s music model hasn’t been as successful as expected. You can carry your music around in the cloud, but with limited data plans these days, that’s not really a fun and economic solution for many. We expect Google to finally land contracts with at least a couple of record labels, and who knows, maybe we get something for free to sign up.
2. A T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy Nexus: T-Mobile was Google’s launch partner ever since the original T-Mobile G1. Surely it isn’t as large as Verizon, but there should be some sense of loyalty with their new Flagship smartphone. I’d probably give this prediction a 50/50 chance of survival, but we could also be right.
So, set your clocks for 5PM ET, 2PM PT and tune your browser to the Android YouTube Channel for the event. We’ll also be covering all the biggest happenings as Google reveals them. Be sure to share your predictions in the comments down bellow.
