Google’s recently released updates for a trio of its Android apps. While none introduce major new features, we’ve got a nice little collection of tweaks, small additions, and bugfixes.

Google Goggles is seeing the widest breadth of changes in its update, bringing the app up to version 1.7.1. Google added a continuous mode to the app last year, which lets you process imagery without having to snap individual stills. This update should help improve the performance of that mode. Additional changes include a description field for user-submitted search results, as well as a few bugfixes related to storing location data and crashing when loading large images.

Google Listen, the company’s stand-alone app for listening to podcasts, gets updated to fix a single bug, where the app, while running in the background, would steal focus away from others attempting to play sounds.

Lastly, Google Maps sees a small new feature arrive. When using navigation and traveling through a tunnel, the app will now automatically switch its color palette to its “night mode”, helping to improve visibility.
