Originally available for a select few back in July, Google has released the App Inventor to the general public for everyone with a Google Account and a bit of interest to use.

App Inventor is available at Google Labs and it will allow non-techy people to easily create Android applications for their own use, with a simple and intuitive interface. Giving access to the device’s camera and GPS, some good home-made applications might come out and Google is already excited about initial programs emerging with the aid of the App Inventor.
