It wouldn’t be a Google product launch without the associated YouTube videos — intentionally revealing, this time — and Mountain View has more than a handful showcasing its new operating system, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, as well as its Nexus S smartphone. As the first shipping handset to run Gingerbread, this latter device, with a four-inch contoured display and 1GHz Hummingbird processor, gets quite a bit of attention, with the walkthroughs just as enticing to regular consumers as to the developers who will be using this as their primary testbed. It might take a minute for the page to load with all these embedded vids, but if you want to check out all angles of the new device and platform, it’s probably well worth the wait.
