One of Google’s last Android Market promotions was put together in celebration of the app store passing the 10 billion downloads mark. We got some great deals on apps while it lasted, but even with it now concluded, the opportunities for saving continue to arise. Just in time for Christmas, Google is discounting a bunch of movie rentals down to just under a dollar a piece.
Now sure, a dollar isn’t nearly as good a deal as the ten cent apps were, especially considering how you’re only getting access to these films for a limited time when you rent them, but if the holidays bring you some unexpected guests, with their unexpected children, having quick access to some kid-friendly films might just end up saving the day.
In accordance with the holiday season, most of the discounted films feature Christmas themes. You’ll find classics like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Elf, A Christmas Story, and Bad Santa. For the kids, there’s a selection of animated holiday titles, as well as some non-secular fare like the latest Spy Kids installment. Check out the full assortment of all seventeen discounted rentals over at the Android Market.
