About a month ago, Google officially kicked-off Google Wallet, giving owners of the Nexus S 4G the ability to make retail payments via their smartphones. The service continues to grow as we await the arrival of more NFC-supporting Android models, and Google is busy signing-up new retail partners and adding new ways to simplify payments.

One new feature Google is adding to the app is called SingleTap, which combines the means through which you authorize a payment, as well as redeem a coupon, into… well, a single tap. Offers you’ve interested in, that you’ve saved within Google Wallet, will be automatically applied when making your payment. The first retailers who will support this system include American Eagle Outfitters, The Container Store, Foot Locker, Guess, Jamba Juice, Macy’s, OfficeMax, and Toys”R”Us. You’ll see discounts from these retailers appear in a new “Featured Offers” section.

Google Wallet can store loyalty cards in addition to your payment info, and Google is adding support for such cards from four additional retailers, with Foot Locker, Guess, OfficeMax, and American Eagle Outfitters joining the fray today.

This is all just the tip of the iceberg, and as Google continues to expand Wallet’s reach, it will soon be accepted at Chevron, D’Agostino, Faber News Now, Gristedes Supermarkets, and Pinkberry stores.
