In our last video for the Galaxy S 2, we implied that the web browser on the device was probably the fastest we’ve ever tested. Well, here is proof. We put the Galaxy S 2 against the iPhone 4, the HTC Thunderbolt, and the Samsung Focus, and ran some speed tests over WiFi having closed all browser windows and after clearing cache. In all cases, the Galaxy S 2 loaded pages faster, provided a smoother pinch-to-zoom experience, and had the quickest smoothing the the least amount of blank space or checkerboarding. This is likely thanks to the rocket-fast dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos CPU and the 1GB of RAM. We’re impressed!
