Update: Expansys just pinged us with a statement claiming that “the alleged leaks of information are nothing more than speculatively populated product holding pages, created and designed for internal use only…we do not have full details of the specific products mentioned.” However, the company is still “investigating how this information has entered the public domain.” With so many inconsistencies in the published specs (Qualcomm processor in a Samsung device, only 512MB of RAM across the board, questionable CPU/GPU pairings), there’s a pretty good chance that the etailer is on the level here; that being said, if these are not in fact the final specs of these devices, we suspect that they’ll end up being very, very close.
Even more pre-MWC leaks from Expansys, as the company has now posted full spec sheets on the HTC Desire HD2, Samsung Galaxy S 2, HTC Desire 2, and HTC Wildfire 2. As suspected, the Galaxy S 2 is said to run on a dual-core Qualcomm 8260 1.2GHz processor (not an Orion or Hummingbird, apparently), sport a 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus Display, and capture both eight-megapixel stills and 1080p full HD video. There’s also said to be a two-megapixel front-facing camera, NFC capabilities, HDMI out, HSPA+, and DLNA plus hotspot capabilities.
Desire HD2, meanwhile, is said to be running the same dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon, feature a 4.3-inch qHD 540 x 960 display, and also do 1080p video from an eight-megapixel camera. Like the SGS2, there’s allegedly 512MB of RAM on board. Desire 2 (pictured above) steps down to a single-core 1GHz Snapdragon, apparently, and a 3.7-inch WVGA SLCD screen, as well as 720p video and five-megapixel stills. Wildfire 2, finally, is said to be equipped with a 600MHz MSM7227 CPU, 3.2-inch HVGA TFT LCD, and another five-megapixel cam (limited to 480p video recording).
The rest of the supposed specs are laid out below, so once we get some nice press shots, it seems we’ll be well on our way towards a full leak.
