We all know that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is cool, but most of us are geeks (it’s not just me, is it?), which is a pretty limited audience. How can Google market its brand-new flagship phone to non-geeks and make it, dare I say, “cooler” than the iPhone?
Google is attempting to do just that in their new commercial which shows off the Galaxy Nexus, Google+’s Hangouts, and beat-boxing with 9 of your friends — no, really!
While we like to see unique and creative ads for our phones, I’ve got to wonder if these types of ads might reach a bigger audience during a football game or on prime-time TV — rather than being pigeonholed into YouTube for distribution via social networks and sites like ours.
