Verizon is rumored to be beginning its Android 2.2 rollout on the company’s high-end Android lineup, which includes the Motorola Droid, HTC Droid Incredible, and the Motorola Droid X, on August 6th and the rollout will continue through August 15th.
Verizon is expected to rollout Froyo onto its devices later this summer, and a screenshot has been posted on the Internet showing a Droid X with Android 2.2 running.
According to the tipster, this is not just a rumored, but is confirmed.
With a simultaneous rollout of Froyo on the 6th and rumors of a Droid 2 launch coming soon, Verizon is hitting it big with Android.
