Fring has been updated to support Google’s Samsung-made Nexus S and since it’s currently the only one running Gingerbread out there, it’s safe to assume Fring has been updated to offer Android 2.3 support.
The update brings new notifications on your Home screen’s notification bar for all Fring events in addition to improved audio through better Jitter buffer resulting in smoother sound. The Nexus S will be able to do video calls with the software refresh and Google Android Gingerbread is generically supported for future devices which will run the mobile platform.
