This is an interesting move. If you haven’t updated your Facebook app today on your Android smartphone, you’ll be happy to know that this update includes the ability for you to view your profile as a Timeline, just like Facebook announced a couple of months ago. Timeline was also made available on the m.facebook.com for those of you without access to an Android device.
What makes this move interesting though, is the fact that Facebook always rolls out any update to iOS first and then any other platform. We’re not going to complain about this, but still, it is weird.
For Timeline to work on your Android Smartphone you’ll need to:
1. Ensure your profile has already activated Timeline on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline
2. Once you’ve activated it, all you have to do is update your Android app and load your profile page to see it.
3. If you’re not carrying an Android Smartphone, just head on over to m.facebook.com
The service will keep your timeline private for a couple of days before it makes it public, just so you have enough time to edit whatever you don’t want to be shown.
